TICATS SIGN THREE ON OFFENCE

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import wide receivers Kelvin Kight and Scott Mitchell as well as import offensive lineman Jonathan Alston.
Kight, a 6-0, 210-pound native of Atlanta joins the Ticats after stints with several NFL teams. Kight started 20 of 48 games in four seasons at Florida, recording 90 receptions for 1,282 yards and six touchdowns.

Mitchell, a 6-3, 220-pound native of Harbor City, Kentucky spent last season with the Arena Football League's New Orleans Voodoo where he made 17 receptions for 184 yards and one touchdown. In college he played two seasons (2004 -05) with Kentucky where he recorded 53 receptions for 671 yards and three touchdowns.

Alston, a 6-5, 310-pound native of Goose Creek, South Carolina, started 19 of 30 games at both guard and tackle during his collegiate career at South Carolina. After turning pro, Alston gained experience with the NFL's Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks.
