TICATS EXTEND KEITH, ADD TWO DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has extended the contract of import defensive end Charlton Keith through 2010 and added import defensive linemen Matt King and Sir Henry Anderson.

Keith started all eight games he appeared in last season after signing with the Ticats as a free agent on September 12. He recorded 24 defensive tackles, four quarterback sacks, two tackles for a loss and two fumble recoveries and was named the CFL's Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Week 13.

"Charlton came in last season and made an immediate impact on our defence. His combination of size and quickness creates problems for the opposition," said general manager Bob O'Billovich. "We're very happy to keep Charlton in Black and Gold."
