Letter From a Fan & My Response..

Tom....

I understand your feelings, your anger, your frustration. Lots of us do. You know that I really care about the team too- even though we haven't met personally. Oski-wee-wee brother. (Loved your video- you did yours at home while mine was from the stadium. It was so cold and wet that day that my voice was really hoarse.) Anyway....

I want to warn you as a friend on the board.

You are feeling SO negative now that you are starting to turn off friends and readers. It will hurt you in the future - hurt your access to the team - hurt the B&G - and hurt YOU when your ability to be close to the team and its fans fades away.

I'm not criticizing you but rather want to stand beside you. I would advise you to take a deep breath and let yourself calm down. I try to do this daily! Then I would suggest that you write a thread that says that you still love the team, have been really upset and may have gone a bit overboard, and that you want to get back to analysis and reporting rather than being angry and criticizing.

It's only my suggestion but I'm really concerned over how people are beginning to see you on the board... and it's the good people too.

All the best. Hang in there. Find some fun.

A Fan

Dear Fan,
Your Right I Went over Board
This Why I am taking a Week Off From Going to practices.

When you Bleed Black and Gold
Sometime You go little Nuts Have a Melt Down

Your Letter Help me see this Thanks.
Tom

He already has 18 and should be the league MVP and Defence Player of the year.
Wakes Stats vs Hamilton are nothing but Unreal
7 Sacks 16 Tackles 1 Forced Fumble
He more Sacks vs us then our leading Defence lineman has in Total.

THE CANADIAN PRESS

HAMILTON - The CFL has lost one of its legends.

Canadian Football Hall of Famer Ron Lancaster has died. He was 69. A Hamilton Tiger-Cats spokesman says he died Wednesday night. The former star quarterback and coach was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this summer and had been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy to treat the disease.

He had been working as a colour analyst on Hamilton Tiger-Cats radio broadcasts this season before receiving the diagnosis. He was also serving as the Ticats senior adviser to organizational development

"Our league has lost its 'little general'. And our country has lost a giant of a man," said CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon.

"Ron Lancaster is deeply loved across Canada, as a CFL player, coach, broadcaster and mentor, but most of all as a true friend. His career spanned eras, bridged west and east, and delighted our fans. But his life transcended sport, because the young man who came here from Pennsylvania grew into a true Canadian hero -- a role model who often towered above the rest, and yet remained resolutely down to earth, at the same time.

“Our hearts and thoughts are with his wife, Bev, three children Lana, Rob and Bob and his four grandchildren.”

Lancaster, a native of Fairchance, Pa., began his illustrious CFL career in 1960 with the Ottawa Rough Riders. He was dealt to Saskatchewan in 1963, spending 16 years there and leading the Roughriders to their first-ever Grey Cup title in 1966, which came against Ottawa.

He captured the Schenley Award as the CFL's outstanding player in 1970 and '76.

Lancaster became Saskatchewan's head coach immediately after the 1978 season but was let go after consecutive 2-14 seasons.

Lancaster then joined the CBC, where he worked as a colour analyst for the network's CFL broadcasts. He also served as a basketball colour commentator at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.

Lancaster returned to football in 1991 as the Edmonton Eskimos head coach. He spent seven seasons there, winning a Grey Cup in 1993.

Lancaster became the 17th head coach in Ticats' history on Nov. 26, 1997.

He served as the club's coach from 1998 to 2003, leading the Ticats to Grey Cup appearances in 1998 and '99, winning the latter.

He returned to the sidelines as Hamilton's interim head coach in '06 after Greg Marshall was fired.

Lancaster's 142 regular-season wins place him fifth on the CFL's career list.

Popular and respected in CFL circles for his integrity and up-front demeanour, Lancaster was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1982 and the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.

He is survived by his wife Bev, three children Lana, Ron and Bob and his four grandchildren.

Lancaster began his CFL career with the Ottawa Roughriders in 1960 before being dealt to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1963. Over the course of his illustrious 19-year playing career, Lancaster completed 3,384 passes for 50,535 yards and 333 touchdowns and was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player in 1970 and 1976.

After spending two seasons as as a player-coach, Lancaster served another two seasons as Saskatchewan’s head coach beginning in 1978.

Following a stint as a broadcaster on CBC, Lancaster returned to the coaching ranks in 1991 with the Edmonton Eskimos, a position he held for eight years before becoming the 17th head coach in Ticats history in 1997. He earned the CFL’s Coach of the Year award and led the Ticats to their most recent Grey Cup in 1999.

TIGER-CATS ACQUIRE ALAIN KASHAMA

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that they have acquired non-import defensive lineman Alain Kashama from the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the CFL Canadian Draft.

“We’ve been looking at getting players who can help our team get more pressure up front and we feel that Alain is very capable of helping us do that,” said general manager Bob O’Billovich. “He’s a very good pass rusher off the edge with great size and as a non-import he gives our team some great options and flexibility.”

Kashama, a 6-4, 270-pound native of Montreal, Quebec led the Alouettes last season with eight sacks and added 29 tackles and two special teams tackles. Prior to joining the Als, Kashama spent time in the NFL with both the Chicago Bears (2004) and Seattle Seahawks (2005).

TICATS SEND MORENO TO WINNIPEG

Hamilton, Ontario
– The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has acquired the Winnipeg Blue Bombers first round selection in the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft as well as the rights to non-import defensive lineman Corey Mace in exchange for import linebacker Zeke Moreno and a conditional draft pick.

"With the sudden illness of Tom Canada and his subsequent inability to play football for a lengthy period of time, the initial proposed trade obviously wasn't going to work,” said general manager Bob O’Billovich. “We worked hard with Winnipeg to find a solution and the agreed-to trade essentially gets us two first round talents for Zeke Moreno, and that's going to help us a great deal as we move forward."

Mace was Winnipeg’s second round (11th overall) selection in the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft. In 2007, he signed with the Buffalo Bills of the NFL as an undrafted free agent after playing college football at the University of Wyoming.

Ticats Sign QB Tafralis

After turning pro, the 25-year-old signed with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent.

Coker, a 6-0, 302-pound native of Las Vegas, Nevada, spent four years at Oregon State. The 23-year-old started 25 of 39 games played with the Beavers, recording 52 total tackles, nine tackles for losses and 4.5 quarterback sacks.

Trade Talks for Zeke Stall Thank God

Trade talks between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers centring around rush end Tom Canada have hit a snag.

A league source requesting anonymity told The Canadian Press early Monday evening that the Bombers had dealt the tenacious rush end and the rights to Canadian-born defensive lineman Corey Mace to Hamilton for linebacker Zeke Moreno.

In fact, Bombers general manager Brendan Taman confirmed that the two teams had signed off on the deal, but that was before news that Canada wasn't completely healthy broke late Monday night.

"Tom isn't medically right," Taman said. "There are problems that could affect his playing.

Thank god this deal is dead at the momment.

More Bad news For Ticat Fans this time a Bad Trade

The Canadian Football League's two worst teams shook things up on Monday in a blockbuster trade that say the Winnipeg Blue Bombers send defensive end Tom Canada and the rights to Canadian-born defensive lineman Corey Mace to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for linebacker Zeke Moreno.

Canada has told the Winnipeg Press He won't Report to Hamilton
Another Bad Deal if Canada don't Report ..
Tom Canada, another Bomber big name, headed to Hamilton for l.b. Zeke Moreno.
As of now the deal is being held up by Canada's refusal to report to the Ticats.
Here is Quote From Tom Canada
"It looks like they're getting rid of me, man," Canada told The Free Press. "It's Hamilton, but as of this point I'm refusing the trade because I've got better things to do than go to Hamilton and lose more games.

The CFL Is now trying to fix the Mess.

TICATS NAME BELLEFEUILLE INTERIM HEAD COACH

Hamilton, Ontario
– The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Charlie Taaffe has been relieved of his duties as head coach. Offensive coordinator Marcel Bellefeuille will assume the head coaching position on an interim basis.

“Marcel is a bright, up-and-coming football mind, who is very capable of becoming a successful head coach in this league,” said general manager Bob O’Billovich. ”After a thorough evaluation, we felt that a change was necessary in the best interests of the Tiger-Cats. We wish Charlie all the best in his future endeavors.”

Bellefeuille joined the Ticats as offensive coordinator on December 19, 2007. He served as the Montreal Alouettes offensive coordinator in 2007 after a one-year stint as Montreal’s receivers and running backs coach. Before joining the Als, Bellefeuille spent five seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders – the latter three as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Bellefeuille also enjoyed a successful tenure as head coach with the University of Ottawa prior to beginning his CFL career, capturing a Vanier Cup championship in 2000.

Wake is Ranked #1 and Johnson is 2 in the league in Sacks

Then Ticats Defence could not tackle a Cold
They where Using Bodies to Tackle instead of Rapping up.
When they got To the BC QB
they did not Contain Him
Buck Always found someone on Scramble..

As Ticat Fan I Sick Of this

The good and bad from The Lost to Toronto.

Here is The Good and Bad from the Labour day Game

1st The Bad..
(1) The Cutting of Tackle and Guard Marko Cavka..
The Ticats Trusting a Young Canadian Lineman who could not block a cold.
Marko was having an All star Season.
He was cut for his American Status only IMO.
This Makes me Wounder if the Football Staff understands Talent at all

(2) Special Teams Got Torched..
Missing Kordic and Beverage Did not help.

(3) Defence again was Suspect.
We Got Pressure But the Did not contain Kerry
He always found someone on the Scramble Drill
They where big Gains that hurt us .

Now they Must Face B.C in a Must Win Game in 3 Days
Chances are very Good we'll have 1st pick again next April.
Well Also have Discounted Tickets
