TIGER-CATS SIGN QB JASON BOLTUS

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import quarterback Jason Boltus, NCAA Division III’s all-time leader in total offence.

Boltus, a 6-4, 225-pound native of Baldwinsville, New York was named the ECAC Division III Player of the Year and ECAC Northwest Player of the Year in 2008 after throwing for 3,934 passing yards and 46 touchdowns in his senior season at Hartwick College.

Over the course of his stellar four-year college career, Boltus threw for 13,276 passing yards and 134 touchdowns while carrying the ball 371 times for 968 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. The 22-year-old is NCAA Division III’s all-time leader in total offence while his career passing yardage ranks second all-time and his 134 career touchdown passes ranks third all-time.

The Ticats also announced that the team has released import quarterbacks Josh Betts and Erik Meyer.
