Reason TSN moved the Labor Day Game

Jesse Lumsden (Photo: The Canadian Press)

There is only 1 Reason TSN Moved the Labour Day Game Between Hamilton and Toronto.
It is Ratings .
When it Comes to Football
The Labour day Game is the 2ND Highest Rated for CFL Football.
This is next to the Grey Cup Game Of Course.

So They Wanted it on when the Most Viewers are Watching TV.
That's Prime Time 7-11 PM.
Rating= Advertising Dollars
It Comes Down to Money

I don't like and Know most of you don't as well
We will never again see 1 or 4 PM Game

The Team dose right to black out any game the Choose.
But Blacking out Labour Day would be a PR Nightmare for Them.
so this won't Happen .

IMO It would make them a lot money at Gate.
But there Right not worth the PR nightmare for it .

Chang Joins Bluebombers

Former Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Timmy Chang has agreed to terms with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and is expected to join the team on Monday.

Bring a Can Good to The Game Monday

Purolator and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have joined forces to help battle hunger in Hamilton, reports the Hamilton Spectator. A donation gets you entered in a draw to win a trip to the 2008 Grey Cup in Montreal. And if you donate at the Balsam entrance, Purolator will take your picture with the Grey Cup.

Former Ticats will be collecting non-perishable goods or cash donations at all Ivor Wynne entrances from 5 p.m. until the end of the first quarter.Last year, football fans brought in about 16,000 pounds of food for the Tackle Hunger drive. Purolator's Brian Collins is challenging Ticats fans to raise up to 20,000 pounds this year.

Food and cash collected at the drive will help feed 15,400 people who visit 10 food banks and seven meal programs throughout Hamilton.

So remember to bring your non-perishable food items to the Labour Day Classic and help your former Ticats and Purolator tackle hunger.

Trying to find the Brightside of 2008 Season

Top 5 Things about 2008 Hamilton Tigercats

(1) Touchdowns are up . Field Goal Attempts are Less Frequent
(2) The Offence Moves the ball last year we punted more any team league.
(3) Receivers are better Obie has found some nice young Guys
(4) DB are no longer and Issuie.
(5) Team is not being Blow out they are in Most games.

Changes need to be made but not the head coach..

Changes need to made after another lose this time to the Bluebombers 37-24
But one is not Charlie Taaffe..
Charlie Taaffe has done what he could to make this Team winners.
But coaching is not enough when you don't have players to help you win.
We are now on bye For the next 18 days this too long IMO ..

But it maybe needed to get the Players Obie should found before the season.
This Team is in need Major help on the Defence
The D-line has no pass Rush.
We have to sit back in Cover 2 Shell and Blitz to get Pressure.
Leaving our Team open to screens and the quick passing game.

The Young WR are good but the Vets are Awfull ..
What Good is Tony Miles when he can't Stay Healthy .
Jojo walker has more Heart and is Tougher WR .
Pat Woodcock bump him at the line and you take him out.
They Cut Jason French and keep ONeil "bad hands" Wilson .
We need a CFL Vet WR bad..
Charile need to fire his WR Coach

Being back Jason French and hope Sam is cut from Colts.

Offence Tackle Jonta has too go ..
He has lost a Step and holding way too much.

This game was Winnable
Turnovers and Player Mistakes from a Young Team Cost us 2 Points
Welcome back to east Basement Boys.
CFL teams have score 242 Combined Points vs Hamilton
Ticats have score 201 Points vs the CFL
This means Hamilton is -41
A Can't make the Playoff this way .
Enjoy your break I won't

Ticats Ducking Local Media..

The Fearsome 3 have tucked there Tails and our hiding from our local Media.
Weather Obie and Charile have told players to be Quite
Or if they Decided on there own not to talk .
Check out Ken Peters Blog http://catchat.thespec.com/2008/08/whats-up-with-t.html
But Kenny is not only one Being Ducked
The Ticats won't any let any Player Currently hurt talk to Local Media.
The Includes CHCH Reporters.

Now they will talk to Ticats TV or 900 who Shells for The Ticats.
Ticats TV is there to push the Ticats Brand and Tickets
They are not real Media IMO
CHML is a Radio Partner and after Taaffe Gate
They Tucked there Tails to keep The Peace
Now they Soft ball Questions to Casey on his Show.
That is nothing more Infomercial Pushing the Ticats Brand.
Talk about kissing ass.

All the Team Dose by not talking to Kenny or any Reporter is cause Roomer and Innuendo
I Rather Squash Both by Them Talking.
We can't make Rumors is Fact is in Front of us Proving us Wrong. .Stop Ducking the Media and this will All go away.

If I was Commissioner of the CFL.

If I was Commissioner of the CFL
The 10 Things I would to make the CFL Better

(1) Drop the Starting Numbers of Canadians from 7 to 5.
(this would give Team More Flexibly)
(2) Increase the cap 5 M a Season
(3) Add a 3rd Preseason Game
(will allow Players on Bubble a Better chance to make a Team)
(4) Change the overtimes rules
(Teams would play 1 Quarter to a Finish)
(5) I would add Practice Roster Spot for a Canadian QB Only
(6) I Would have two Drafts One for Canadian Talent and one for world Talent.'
(7)I would do away with the cross over.
(The CFL should be East vs West )
(8) Added Teams In Quebec City and St Johns Ottawa.
(9) Have a Draft Lottery
(this will Spread out who Get 1st pick overall)
(10) Have a CFL all Star Game at Rogers Center with Money Going to Sick Kids.

Ticat DB #3 Geoff Tisdale Tries to slide away from a Argo Block

Yesterday was a day of 1st for The Hamilton Tigercats
1ST Passing TD
1st Time we beat the Argo at home in a few years
1st Home win

It was 1st Time I seen this team win a three Parts to a football Game
Offence Special Teams Defence .
what a time to do it
With Their backs to Wall They Came out Flying .

The Ball started to roll when Ticats where 1st and Goal on 4 yard line
The Ticats went to Double TE and Full Back.
This Normal Means Run but not this time.
Ritchie Rolls out then Tosses the Ball to TE/fullback Robert Pavlovic for our 1sr Passing TD

Our 2ND TD was by as RB # 30 Terry Caulley
He Ran one out from 20 yards Diving in the last 2 or 3
By Argos Marched down the Field Getting a TD and Two Point Convert.
We went into have Tied 18 18 .

After that it was all Down hill for Boatman
As 3rd Quarter IWS become a House for Horrors for the Them
The Ticats Marched the opening Kickoff Down for another TD
With Terry Caulley getting a yard passing From Ritchie .

Then our Defence Took Over getting 3 Turnovers
In total they had 4 on Night and Made Kerry Joseph Night a long one
The Ticats Maded The Argos Pay for there Errors push the Score to 33-18

The Boatman then kick a Field Goal Making the Score 33-21
The Game was locked up with Ritchie Williams on Scramble and Long TD
He Hit Chris Bauman
He Turned a good Gain into Touchdown after making Argo DB Miss .
Bauman Then Ran 63 yards for the Ticart 3'rd passing TD
Nick Setta added 3 more Final Score 45-21 Hamilton Tigercats

It was a great Effort by the Full Team

He was a Our GM and The Time.

I Remember walking into Office at I.WS.
There Was Ronnie at His Desk.
Who are you
Why are here.

Disagree We need Vets like George ..

Without A Solid Core of vets things would be worse.
Personally I don't Blocking Schemes on passes.

Here is what Left of the Beast of the East
A Stuff Toothless Tiger

We are 6 Games into the season and where 1 and 5.
This season has been Painful to watch
Kenny Petters of Spec Who I Learn Great Deal From Said The Team is done.
You Can Read his blog here http://catchat.thespec.com/

Well Kenny if we are Done Bob is going have to give me 25% off my Ticket next year
Plus I'll let him keep my Playoff Depost
I will roll that into next year Ticket.

At 385.00 For a Sliver Seat
I should get next Seasons ticket for around 240.00 Dollars
So Frankly if our done We just have ride it out ..
I will Enjoy my Price Break Since I don't get go Games Free Like Kenny dose.
Here is Question for Kenny Petters
How long will Bob Young Keep Putting Money in this Money Pit of a Team.

As a Fan I am Sad that the once Great Beasts of East Are Gone
They Are Now Stuff and Mounted on Every CFL Team Wall
The problem is not players Coaches Or GM
It much Higher Up.....IMO
