MARSHALL JOINS TICATS COACHING STAFF

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Greg Marshall has been named the team’s new defensive coordinator and assistant head coach.

Marshall has spent the previous three seasons as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where his defence helped the Bombers earn a Grey Cup berth in 2007.

“I am very excited to have Greg join the Tiger-Cats family,” said head coach Marcel Bellefeuille. “Greg’s wide range of experience and success in the CFL will have a great impact on our team. The entire organization will benefit from both his character and example.”

Prior to his tenure in Winnipeg, Marshall served as defensive coordinator with three separate CFL clubs; the Ottawa Renegades, Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Tiger-Cats new defensive coordinator and assistant head coach, Greg Marshall, isn't afraid of taking on a challenge, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

"When I went to Winnipeg, we had the worst defence in the history of the Canadian Football League the previous season. I'm not afraid of challenges. I'm looking forward to getting to work," Marshall said yesterday.
