Ticats Award winners

TIGER-CATS 2008 CANADIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE PLAYER AWARD NOMINEES

Hamilton, Ontario – Earlier today, the Canadian Football League announced the nominees for the 2008 CFL Most Outstanding Player Awards. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ nominees include the following players:

CHRIS THOMPSON / Defensive Back
Most Outstanding Player and Most Outstanding Defensive Player

In his first season in Black and Gold, Thompson is currently tied for the CFL lead with nine interceptions through 17 games. The Week 7 CFL Defensive Player of the Week has also recorded 60 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one fumble recovery and nine pass knockdowns. This is the first time Thompson has been nominated for a CFL Player award.

RAY MARIUZ / Linebacker
Most Outstanding Canadian

Mariuz has made 64 defensive tackles, two quarterback sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one pass knockdown and leads the Ticats with 14 special teams tackles. This is Mariuz’s first nomination for the Most Outstanding Canadian Award.

MARWAN HAGE / Centre
Most Outstanding Lineman

As the centre of the offensive line, Marwan Hage plays a pivotal role in the success of the Ticats offence. The fifth-year Tiger-Cat has helped power the league’s top rushing attack as the Black and Gold lead the CFL in six rushing categories, including a 6.5 yards per carry average. This is Hage’s second consecutive nomination for the Ticats Most Outstanding Lineman Award.

NICK SETTA / Kicker/Punter
Most Outstanding Special Teams Player

Nick Setta has been the CFL's most consistent punter through Week 18, averaging a league-leading 47.7 yards per punt this season.

Setta has also made his mark in the record book. During the Ticats Week 4 game in Calgary, Setta tied the Ticats record he set last season with a 97-yard punt and would go on to establish the new Canadian Football League single-game punting average record with a mark of 64.7 yards per kick, eclipsing the old record set by former Ticats kicker Paul Osbaldiston in 2002.

Setta has connected on 26 of 33 field goal attempts, has maintained a 60.8 yard kickoff average and is also a perfect 2-for-2 on fake punt attempts, completing passes of 12 and 21 yards in consecutive games.

This is Setta’s second consecutive nomination for the Ticats Most Outstanding Special Teams Player.

PRECHAE RODRIGUEZ / Wide Receiver
Most Outstanding Rookie

In 13 games this season, first-year wide receiver Prechae Rodriguez has posted 64 receptions for 970 yards and seven touchdowns. Rodriguez's finest performance of the season thus far came against Montreal in Week 15, when he tied Jimmy Edwards' 32-year-old single-game reception record of 12, while also adding 198 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

BELLEFEUILLE HEAD COACH IMO Wrong Move.

The Ticats Lie to us again .. Obie Promised he do Interviews for the 2009 Head Coach.
We all knew this was coming
Why would The Ticats Bring in all of this players Coach Bellefeuille knew
if was not staying .
All we done is gone back to Greg Marshall Want to be Coach.
We have Waisted 3 Years we could have Kept Greg Marshall if we wanted a CIS Coach.

1 Win and get head Job Obie has lost his mind.
I am Disappointed we did not Interview some other Coaches
I would have love to seen a Richie Hall or Chris Jones George Cortez get a Interview .
Without interviewing anyone the Ticats have shut the door on 09 already.

Let hope the Marcel has Brains Enough to hire good Coaches
I think these changes need to be made
DC Need to be fired hire some one else.
OC Hire Danny Mac full time
OL Need a New Coach
WR Coach need a new one
DL Need a new coach
DB Coach is fine Keep him
Special Teams coach is Fine .

Dispointed I feel coach staff will not change much at all

BELLEFEUILLE HEAD COACH in 2009

TICATS NAME BELLEFEUILLE HEAD COACH

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Marcel Bellefeuille will assume full-time head coaching duties after previously serving as the team’s interim head coach.

“I’m pleased to make this announcement, as I feel that Marcel has shown the qualities necessary to lead our team as head coach,” said general manager Bob O’Billovich. “With our common vision, I look forward to working with Marcel as we continue to build this franchise into a perennial contender.”

Bellefeuille was named interim head coach on September 8 after serving as the club’s offensive coordinator since December 19, 2007.

“I am thrilled and appreciative for this opportunity,” said Bellefeuille. “I’m excited to work alongside Bob O’Billovich and the great core of talented young players we have on this team. This team is definitely headed in the right direction and will be competitive and exciting as we move forward.”

Before joining the Tiger-Cats, he spent 2007 as the Montreal Alouettes offensive coordinator after a one-year stint as Montreal’s receivers and running backs coach. Prior to his tenure with the Alouettes, Bellefeuille spent five seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders – the final three as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Bellefeuille also enjoyed a successful tenure as head coach with the University of Ottawa, which included a 2000 Vanier Cup championship.

Are the Ticats now just late night infomercial

Every Season Begins with Ticats Ticket Blitz .
The Hype Builds a Promised of playoffs and Great new players
Ends with Thud then Starts all over.
The Ticats are nothing more then late night infomercial of something over rated
You buy it only to find out it peace of junk

A Friend of told me Tom Don't Believe the Hype..
He feels this so call Team is years from Making a Playoff.
He could be right.

On Bright Side 1 more loss and we Wrap up our 3rd 1st overall pick .
This could be 3rd year in row we draft 1st
Our 2nd year with Multiple picks in the 1st Round.
If Someone goes over the Cap we could have 3 Picks in the 1st round.
This could really Changed the face of the team.

If we keep our already great Canadian Depth and add a few more
it could be even better .
Or if We Trade one we maybe be able to pick up a very good player who could start.
We did pick up a very good Player in Markeith Knowlton via Trade
This was just before this years Draft. so it can happen.

I Felt Pretty Odd Cheering For Calgary
But I knew a Hamilton = 3rd place in east and Pick 2 and 3 .
we be tied with Toronto but do to our head to head Record we get 3rd.
I'd Rather have Picks 1 and 3 then a Meaningless win.

This Team is on Right Track but going to be 2 or 3 years before we see a playoff game
as of Today The Ticats are nothing more then late night infomercial
Maybe one day the Rise above that .

My Videos are Copyrighted. Here is a look at the Law.

Any kind of video material can be made into a streaming video. This might tempt some to use video footage which does not belong to them.

Video which is not in the public domain, however, is subject to copyright, which means that written permission must be obtained before it can be used by a third party.

A streaming video which consists of someone talking to the camcorder is referred to as user created content or UCC and can be used by the creator in any way he or she wishes. A fair proportion of streaming video on websites like YouTube is UCC and are sometimes referred to as 'video blogs'.

UCC can also include footage of objects, scenes or animals, but does not necessarily extend to people. Before you can use video or still images of people you must obtain a written release authorization to display those images in a public forum like a video stream.

A release authorization is required anytime a person can be recognized. Crowd scenes are usually exempt because it is hard to pick out individuals from a large group of people. If you focus on an individual in the crowd, though, play it safe and try to get a release authorization before using that footage as part of a streaming video.

Internet Copyright

The Internet is no different from any other media when it comes to copyright. The creator of any content whether that is video, images, sound or written material, holds the copyright unless he or she specifically releases the work to the public domain.

Copyright gives the creator or the owner, where copyright has been transferred, control over how that material can be used. If anyone wants to use copyrighted material they must get written permission from the copyright holder.

How long does copyright last? There is some variation from country to country, but generally speaking it will remain in effect for at least 50 years after creation. Written works are protected for the lifetime of the author plus 70 years, but photographs and sound recordings are only protected for 50 years after the date of publication.

What does all this mean for the video streaming.

  • Be careful of your sources.
  • Do not assume you can use someone else's work just because 'everyone else is using it'.
  • Above all, do not assume that other video streaming material is up for grabs. Just because it has a transient feel does not mean that UCC can be used without permission.

Of course, this is a two way street in as much that any streaming video that you create and post on a public forum like Google Video or YouTube or your own web site belongs to you, the creator. You hold copyright to that material, and that means you can decide when and where that video content can be used.

Enforcing Copyright

So what do you do if you find that someone has copied your streaming video and is using it against your wishes? Do not worry about having to prove copyright as in most countries it is automatically assigned to the creator of any work, although it may be prudent to mark all streaming video and any other material with a copyright symbol or notice

The hard part comes when enforcing your rights as copyright holder. The first step is to get in touch with the offending party and explain your policies for using your video. If they do not comply, you can threaten them with a legal action, but unless you are prepared to back up your threat with action the matter will most likely end in stalemate. You could contact their Internet Service Provider and register a complaint, but if the ISP does not do anything that will probably be the end of the road.

The best way to avoid others copying your streaming video, is not to post it on the internet in the first place.

This way To The Egress!

I learned a lot in Life From My Heroes
Some of my Hero have Taught me that showmanship and Controversy Is always good..
I am talking about P.T. Barnum and Howard Stern.
Both are showman and knew how to work an Crowd

Stern will say almost anything
His Sirius Satellite Radio Stations has Listeners on Two Stations Howard 100 and 101
This has got Him Legions of Fans and Tons of Money .
In Fact Cause Stern is Uncensored on This PPV Radio Stations
He can say Anything and get away it .
So more and more Tune in every day

Now P.T. Barnum was also a Showman
He was Howard Stern of his day with his side shows
People love to see Freaks and Oddities .

What dose have to do with Football and my Blog ?
will 1st let me tell you a Story .

BT packed people into his side shows they paid to go again and again to see the Freaks.
Yet, despite his ability to draw crowds to the halls and arenas he had specially constructed for his troupe of freaks, curiosities and wonders, Barnum had a serious problem. Once he collected their admission, he had difficulty getting the crowd to exit the building. So fascinated were the public in his sideshows, they wouldn't leave promptly, allowing the next group of customers to pay and enter.

Barnum, ever the brilliant manipulator of people, devised an "exit strategy" to help him keep the turnstiles going. On the rear exit door he painted the words, "This Way To The Egress!" in bold letters. His customers were not all sufficiently sophisticated to appreciate that the word "Egress" meant exit. So, Barnum's customers blithely passed through the door hoping to see the exotic, three-headed Egress that they were sure lurked on the other side. Only to see the been had once they went threw the door.

PT said This " There's a sucker born every minute"
It is generally taken to mean that there are (and always will be) a lot of gullible people in the world.
This How Barnum and Stern work a Crowd..
How Many People tune into Sterns show just see what He'll Say
Or what he have on his show. This also What Barnum did with his Side Shows.
I am Doing Same thing with my blog and My Post on The CFL and Ticats Fourms.
How many People come to see just what I'll Say Next or do ..

You tell me was PT was Right .
