Ticats get a New OC.

TIGER-CATS NAME MIKE GIBSON OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that they have appointed Mike Gibson as the team's offensive coordinator.

"I'm excited to have the opportunity to add Mike to our coaching staff," said head coach Marcel Bellefeuille. "Mike brings a wide range of experience and past success to the organization. The quality of his character coupled with his expertise will be a great compliment to the Tiger-Cats."

Gibson spent the past two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as their assistant head coach and offensive line coach. Before helping the Riders capture a Grey Cup in 2007, Gibson spent two seasons as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive coordinator from 2005-06 and also served as the team's offensive line coach in 2001, helping the Bombers achieve a 14-4 record and an appearance in the Grey Cup final.

A veteran of three decades as a coach, Gibson has spent time with several NCAA programs including Rutgers, Colgate, Temple, Rice, Boston University and Cornell.
