But I going to say it anyways
The Non Import Rule is killing our Game.
I'd do a way with it Completely with in the next 4 years
The Best Players should play Regardless of their Passport.
This is affirmative Action for Canadians
it is also decimation. It should be stop.
The Rule which requires teams to keep at least 20
non-import(or Canadian Born Players) is outdated.
It also make the CFL Draft Laughable when you Compare it to the NFL Draft.
The NFL drafts Talent Regardless of your Passport
CFL Teams use a Negotiation list for American Born Players
When They should be Drafting young Talent from the US Canada and World.
Here What I would do over the next 4 years
I Drop the Non Import Content by 5 year
Here is the Break Down:
2009 down to 15 Canadian born Players
2010 Down to 10 Canadian born Players
2011 Down to 5 Canadian born Players
2012 No Non Import Rule (1st Wide open CFL Draft)
So by 2012 to make a team you must be the Best.
Then I move the CFL Draft to Drafting the Best Talent from the world
I Do a way with Negotiation list and open the Market for Players up.
The Non Import Rule is holding the CFL Back.
It is time for it go .

If the CFL eliminated
Canadian born players
many long-time fans
would be 'turned off'
and refuse to attend games
or watch CFL games any more.
Many casual fans and families
wouldn't have a reason
to attend games
or watch games on T.V.
if they didn't feel some
connection to the players.
It will never happen, Tom.
The CFL owners know that
it would hurt attendance
and their T.V. contract.
The Grey Cup has one of
the highest T.V. rating
for viewership every year.
Whether the CFL is as big
a part of Canadian culture
as it used to be, or not,
the Grey Cup game still is.
Canadians watch it on T.V.
in large numbers.
I don't think that will change

I think Canadians Would have be better and Train harder for Jobs.
This would make Canadian Born Players better cause they no longer have a Crutch to Lean on.
