Tiger-Cats Sign All-Star Running Back Kenton Keith

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced the signing of all-star import running back Kenton Keith.
“We’re very excited to add another outstanding player to our team,” said general manager Bob O’Billovich. “Kenton is a proven performer in this league and has demonstrated the ability to make big plays on the ground and as a receiver. He has the potential to score from anywhere on the field.”
Keith, a 5-11, 198-pound native of Lincoln, Nebraska spent last season with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, where he carried the ball 121 times for 533 yards and three touchdowns while adding 13 receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Prior to joining the Colts, Keith played four stellar seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In 43 career games, he recorded 3,811 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns while also making 126 receptions for 1,178 yards and eight receiving touchdowns.
Keith was named a West Division All-Star in 2004 and 2006 and was the West Division’s Most Outstanding Player in 2006. The 28-year-old was Saskatchewan’s nominee for Most Outstanding Player in 2004 and 2006 and Most Outstanding Rookie in 2003.
