TIGER-CATS LOCK UP RECEIVERS
Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has extended the contracts of import receivers Prechae Rodriguez and Chris Davis through the 2011 CFL season.
“We have identified Prechae and Chris as key contributors to our offence moving forward, and have ensured that they will remain Ticats for the foreseeable future,” said general manager Bob O’Billovich. “Prechae developed into an exceptional, game-changing receiver last season and we were impressed with Chris’ big play ability. We look forward to seeing what these two young receivers can do for us this season.”
Rodriguez, a 6-5, 208-pound native of Tampa, Florida was named the East Division’s Most Outstanding Rookie after an impressive debut season. In 14 games, Rodriguez recorded 70 receptions for 1,099 yards and seven touchdowns.
Davis, a 5-10, 180-pound native of Atlanta, Georgia made 20 receptions for 228 yards and three touchdowns in four games during his first season in Black and Gold after signing with the Ticats on October 8, 2007.
