Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import linebacker Cameron Siskowic as well as import defensive tackles Darrell Adams, Alex Guerrero and Marcus Lewis.

Siskowic, a 6-2, 225-pound native of San Diego, California, played four seasons at Illinois State, earning the 2006 Gateway Football Conference Player of the Year award after recording 154 tackles (74 solo), two interceptions, two quarterback sacks and three forced fumbles in 13 games. The 23-year-old spent time with the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings last year.

Adams, a 6-5, 282-pound native of Bayshore, New York, started two games for the Ticats in 2007 after signing as a free agent on September 25. The 24-year-old was named first team All-Atlantic 10 for three consecutive years during his four-year collegiate career at Villanova. Adams attended training camp with the NFL’s New York Jets before joining the Ticats last season.

Guerrero, a 6-1, 303-pound native of Brea, California, played four seasons at Boise State where he recorded 105 tackles, 21.5 tackles for a loss and eight sacks. The 24-year-old has previous pro experience with the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs, as well as NFL Europe’s Rhein Fire.

Lewis, a 6-3, 296-pound native of Lithonia, Georgia, earned second-team NAIA All-American honours with Urbana where he recorded 144 tackles, 31 tackles for loss and seven quarterback sacks and a school-record seven blocked kicks in two seasons with the Blue Knights. The 27-year-old has spent time with the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions.

Ticats Add Two to Offence

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import offensive lineman Charles Thomas and import wide receiver Montiese Culton.
Thomas, a 6-5, 315-pound native of Nashville, Tennessee spent four seasons (2003-06) with the Saskatchewan Roughriders where he started 72 regular season games and seven playoff games.
Culton, a 6-2, 180-pound native of Dallas, Texas, played four years at Tulsa, recording 88 receptions for 1,340 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 44 games. After turning pro, Culton signed with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and spent the 2005 season on the team's practice squad.

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import defensive backs Jermaine Mays and Calvin Carlyle as well as non-import defensive back Nick Kordic.

Mays, a 5-11, 180-pound native of Miami, Florida, played the past two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. In 11 career games, the 26-year-old has recorded 17 defensive tackles, one pass knockdown and two interceptions. Prior to joining the Argos, Mays spent time with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings as well as NFL Europe’s Berlin Thunder.

Carlyle, a 5-11, 190-pound native of Los Angeles, California started 36 of 48 games at cornerback with Oregon State before turning pro. He finished his collegiate career with 177 tackles (124 solo) and 3 interceptions. He has previous pro experience with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens as well as NFL Europe’s Rhein Fire.

Kordic, a 6-0, 210-pound product of Western Ontario was named a second team OUA All-Star after completing his senior season with the Mustangs last year. The 24-year-old was the Ticats fifth round (36th overall) selection in the 2007 CFL Draft and was on the team’s practice roster last season before returning to Western for his final season of CIS eligibility.

The Ticats also announced the team has released import linebacker David Lofton and import defensive back Sir James Delgardo.

WOODCOCK JOINS TICATS RECEIVING CORPS

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed non-import receiver Pat Woodcock.

Woodcock, a 5-9, 180-pound native of Ottawa, Ontario, has played seven seasons in the CFL, recording 157 receptions for 2,425 yards and 12 touchdowns in 73 career games.

He was named an East Division All-Star in 2002 and was also named the Most Outstanding Canadian in the 2002 Grey Cup.

"Pat is a proven, experienced receiver who is capable of making big plays. He possesses great speed and the ability to make things happen after the catch," said general manager Bob O'Billovich.

Woodcock has spent the past two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos. The 30-year-old began his career with the Montreal Alouettes, after the Als selected him in the second round (14th overall) of the 2001 CFL Canadian Draft. Following three years with the Alouettes, Woodcock spent two seasons with the Ottawa Renegades after signing as a free agent.
