Here a 3 People who should be Interview for DC Job

1 Danny Kepley Edmonton Linebackers Coach

Danny Kepley is in his sixth year with the Eskimos, third as the club’s Linebacker Coach. He first joined the Eskimo coaching staff as a defensive assistant in 2002.

During his storied ten-year playing career (1975-1984), Danny played with an intensity and dedication that defined the linebacker position in the CFL. A native of Albemarle, N.C., Danny went on to star at East Carolina University. He also played an integral part in Edmonton's "Five in a Row" Grey Cup winning teams of the late 1970's and early '80's. A five-time Western and CFL All-Star and a three-time winner of the Schenley Award as the CFL's Outstanding Defensive Player (1977, '80, '81), Danny is a member of both the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the Eskimo Wall of Honour at Commonwealth Stadium.

Following retirement, Danny spent one season (1985) as an assistant coach with the Eskimos. He also worked as a very successful and respected football analyst on CFRN radio and with both CBC TV and ESPN.

2 Dave Easley Special Team Hamilton.

Dave Easley, the Tiger-Cats new special teams coordinator, brings over two decades of coaching experience to the Black and Gold.

This season will mark Easley’s 15th campaign as a coach in the Canadian Football League. Easley began his CFL coaching career with the Toronto Argonauts as linebackers coach in 1991, helping the Argos earn a Grey Cup championship. He would move on to the B.C. Lions in 1993 as defensive line coach, a position he remained in until 1997 when he was promoted to become the Lions’ defensive coordinator. He guided the Lions’ defensive backs and special teams in 1998 and 1999, then joined the Montreal Alouettes as special teams coordinator in 2000-2001.

Easley’s coaching career would make another stop in Ottawa in 2002 when he was named defensive coordinator of the Ottawa Renegades. He spent another two seasons in Ottawa as the team’s special team’s coordinator before joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as their defensive backs coach in 2005.

Easley spent 2006 with the University of Manitoba, serving as the Bisons’ advisory to defensive backs coach and special teams coach. Before beginning his professional coaching career, Easley honed his skills with the UBC Thunderbirds, the Renfew Trojans and Kelowna High School.

Easley is the only coach in Canadian football history to capture national championships at the junior, university and professional levels.

Easley also enjoyed a successful CFL playing career. He made his playing debut in 1969 with his hometown B.C. Lions, earning the CFL’s Top Rookie honour after returning 50 punts for 359 yards and making four interceptions. He remained with the Lions until 1973 when he joined the Ticats. Easley would remain a Ticat until the middle of the 1976 season when he joined the Edmonton Eskimos.

3 Mike Roach BC Lions Defensive Line Coach

ike Roach returns for his third season coaching the Lions’ defensive line. Led by CFL All-Stars Brent Johnson, Tyrone Williams and Aaron Hunt, Mike’s D-line was a key ingredient in the team’s championship season in 2006.

As unit, the defensive line rang-up 39 of the club’s league-leading 59 quarterback sacks.

Roach joined the Lions from the Calgary Stampeders, where he served as secondary coach (1998-2001). His work was an integral part of the Stamp’s two Grey Cup victories 1998 and 2001.

Mike’s CFL coaching career began 24 years ago in Calgary where he spent four seasons (1982-’85). He moved to Edmonton after the 1985 season and spent the next three seasons with the Eskimos (’85-’87) which included a Grey Cup championship in 1987.

From 1989 to 1991, Mike served as linebackers coach for the Ottawa Rough Riders. He then joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1994 as an assistant coach and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 1996.

Prior to joining Calgary in 1998, Mike took a short hiatus from the CFL to coach linebackers at the University of Texas, El Paso in 1997.

Roach, who hails from Rapid City, South Dakota, and his wife Kaye share five children, Pat, Tim, Greg, Laura and Moi. Mike and Kaye make their off season home in Calgary.

Breaking News on who could be our new OC.

After Charlie Taaffe was Rehired this week
They Ticats Looked at Finding a New OC and DC
The Search Looks to be over for the OC

The Montreal Gazette has learned. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats May announce the addition of Marcel Bellefeuille to their staff. Bellefeuille was the Als' offensive coordinator in 2007, after serving as the team's running-backs and receivers coach the previous season. Bellefeuille, who couldn't be reached for comment, is expected to join the Ticats in a similar capacity.

Here is some back ground on Bellefeuille:
In his second season with the Alouettes, Bellefeuille becomes the Alouettes’ Offensive Coordinator following an extremely productive campaign as the team’s running backs and receivers coach. Upon his arrival with the Alouettes, Bellefeuille brought five years of experience with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, including three as Offensive Coordinator.

Under Bellefeuille in 2006, running back Robert Edwards broke the 1,000 yards rushing mark for a second consecutive season and finished third in the CFL with 1,137 yards on 239 carries. He led the league with 17 touchdowns, including 14 rushing majors. Two of Bellefeuille’s receivers, Ben Cahoon and Kerry Watkins, gained over 1,000 receiving yards as the Alouettes were the only team to have two 1,000-yard receivers.

Bellefeuille’s offences established themselves with the league’s best running game in each of his last three years with the Roughriders, gaining over 7,000 yards in that span. The Riders dominated the ground game under Bellefeuille, finishing first in the league in 2003, 2004 and 2005. The Riders boasted a 29-25-0 record over that span.

Bellefeuille’s teams have been in the playoffs every year since 2002. While he coached in Saskatchewan, the Riders participated in two West Division championship games. The Alouettes made the Grey Cup in his first year with the franchise. He has had CFL coaching experience at all offensive positions and his professional development includes NFL guest coaching experience with the Washington Redskins, the Atlanta Falcons and the Buffalo Bills.

Before joining the Roughriders, Bellefeuille had a successful three-year tenure as head coach of the University of Ottawa’s football program. Bellefeuille’s Gee-Gees won the 2000 Vanier Cup a year after he was named the 1999 OQIFC Coach of the Year. Before becoming the head coach, He served as an assistant for three seasons with the Gee-Gees from 1995 through 1997. Ottawa participated in the 1997 Vanier Cup, falling to UBC. Bellefeuille’s Alouettes colleague Noel Thorpe was on the UBC coaching staff at the time.

Bellefeuille made the jump to the university level following two different high school coaching stints in Ottawa from 1991 through 1995. He also led the Ottawa Sooners to a championship game at the midget level and served as head coach for the Crawley Raiders of Europe’s NFL Budweiser League in 1989.

Bellefeuille lives in Blainville with his wife Julie and their children Ymilie, Alexandra, Mathïas and Cédrik. He is a native of Ottawa, while Julie is a Quebecer, born in Gatineau.

Maybe we Should Trade Jesse now

A Running back who can't Stay on the Field is not worth Keeping

Okay I Said It Maybe we should Trade Jesse now
He is a Great Running back when He is Healthy
but So Far He can't stay that way.
From the time He Started Playing Football He's Got Hurt
Legs Injuries Cost him a Chance in The NFL Twice.

High School and Collage He got hurt.
Last year he was hurt so bad
He was put IR with Hamilton.
Shure He was a Very Good RB When he was Healthy.
Problem is Hamilton has 3 other Good Running back who Can stay Healthy.
Terry Caulley Ran Very well and IMO Should be the starter.
Anthony Davis Also Run Well.

What is a Good Running back If He Can't stay Healthy.
He rushed 98 times for 743 yards including a gaudy 7.5 yards per carry. He added 26 catches for 348 yards. He was named an Eastern Division all-star and was the team's nominee for top Canadian. Injuries were a Problem.

Lumsden hurt his right shoulder in late August in Montreal, forcing him to miss four Games.
He returned then injured the left shoulder in September in Winnipeg.

The club placed him on the nine-game injury list
He missed the final seven games of the season.

New general manager Bob O'Billovich has said that his star running back shows great potential, but must find a way to remain injury-free.

I Said Trade him He can't stay Healthy...
We have Many holes to fill
We may get 2 players for him.
Better then Watching go back IR This year.

Obie in Smith and McCarthy Out in Hamilton

Well it Done
Bob O'Billovich as are new general manager in Steel Town.
Ticats director of football operations Dan Rambo is returning,
but senior advisor of football operations Mike McCarthy
and player-personnel director Craig Smith have been let go.

O'Billovich, 67, has an extensive CFL resume that spans over 25 years and includes stints as a player, coach, administrator this is great Hirer

I am sad to see Mike and Craig go there both great Guys and Good Football men.
Now Do we Keep Charile as our head Coach?
Only Obie knows .

Bob O’Billovich has been involved with the CFL for over 25 years, serving as an administrator, a scout, an assistant coach and a head coach. Bob also spent time in front of the camera as part of TSN’s CFL television broadcasts.

Bob began his CFL career with the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1963, playing defensive back and quarterback. He began his CFL coaching career in 1974 as a guest coach with the Ottawa Rough Riders, and became an assistant in 1976, helping Ottawa to win their last Grey Cup. In 1982, he was named head coach of the Toronto Argonauts and went on to compile a record of 78-55-3, giving him the most wins in team history. Also with the Argos, Bob was named the CFL’s Coach of the Year in 1983 and 1987, and appeared in the Grey Cup three times, leading the East Division club to five first place regular season finishes.

In 1993, Bob returned to the Argonauts to assume the duties of general manager and head coach. He then relinquished his head coaching duties in 1995, so he could focus his energy on player recruitment. He has been credited for scouting the talents of Willie Pless, Dave Dickenson, Mike “Pinball” Clemons, Darren Flutie, Mark Boerigter, Matt Clark, and Mike Trevathan.

Jake Gaudaur passed away today.

Oct. 5, 1920- Dec 4 2007
RIP.

BURLINGTON, Ont. — One of the CFL’s most influential commissioners has died.
Jake Gaudaur died of cancer Tuesday morning at the age of 87, his daughter Diane said.
Born Jacob Gill Gaudaur on Oct. 5, 1920 in Orillia, Ont., he spent time in the CFL as a player, executive and commissioner, a career spanning more than 40 years.
“He was a very modest man so he never spoke of his accomplishments,” said Diane Gaudaur. “He was a very quiet man, very humble.
“He was certainly proud of his involvement with the CFL at all levels, even back to the early days.”
He played for the Hamilton Tigers (1940-1941, 1948-1949), Toronto Argonauts (1941), Toronto RCAF Hurricanes (1942), Toronto Indians (of the Ontario Rugby Football Union, 1945-’46), Montreal Alouettes (1947), Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1950-1951, 1953). He won Grey Cups as a player with the Hurricanes as well as his final season with the Ticats in ‘53.
He served as a director with the Ticats in ‘52 and was the club’s president and general manager from 1956 to ‘67.
